Police Charge Mother With Murder

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. --

Gwinnett County police have charged a 22-year-old woman with murder and cruelty to children in connection with her infant's death.

Police said Friday Erica LaShae Graham of Sugar Hill faces the charges in the death of her 3-month-old daughter. Police answered a call Jan. 6 and found the child dead.

The woman told police she had put the child in a play pen and that the child was not breathing when she checked on her.

Police spokeswoman Corp. Illana Spellman says an autopsy conducted the next day found injuries that were not consistent with the mother's statement. The autopsy determined the cause of death was head trauma.

You are right the systems always say they're doing what's right when it reality they're just following precedure. This is someone I know and they don't have all the faith if justice isn't prevailed an innocent young girl will go to jail for life. Don't believe half of what you see and none of what you hear. Thank you for your concern and God bless you.
