A fourth person has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl that was posted on the MySpace social networking Web site.
Monticello police on Saturday arrested Elizabeth Crawley, 24, of 50 Wood Avenue in the village, where police said several men held down the 17-year old while others forcibly touched her.
Security officials from MySpace.com alerted local police that photos of a young woman being sexually assaulted were posed by a computer in the Town of Fallsburg.
Police say Crawley supplied alcohol to minors at her home and also attempted to convince a witness into giving investigating police a false statement about the incident.
On Wednesday Monticello police arrested Elizabeth Crawley’s brother, Richard Crawley, 38, and two South Fallsburg residents depicted on the MySpace page: Robert J. Ayala, 16, and Rasheem A. Purcell, 19.
All three men were charged with felonies for sexual abuse and misdemeanors for unlawful imprisonment and forcible touching. They’re being held in Sullivan County Jail without bail.
Elizabeth Crawley was charged with misdemeanors for endangering the welfare of a child, tampering with a witness and obstructing governmental administration.
She was released pending further court action.
