Man Accused Of Stabbing Woman And Her Daughter To Death

Yet another case of psychotropic drugs and a homicide!

NEW YORK --

Police have accused a Bronx man of killing a woman and her 6-year-old daughter.

Police discovered the bodies of 25-year-old Yolande Beckford and daughter Monique in their Bronx apartment.

Earlier reports indicated the accused man was the woman's boyfriend, but Ryan Bryan, a relative of both the suspect and victims, has told NewsChannel 4 that the suspect was actually her cousin.

Police said the suspect, Camor Harding, 20, is charged with two counts of murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Bryan said Harding visited Beckford’s apartment regularly since he moved to East 232nd Street several months ago and would even baby-sit Monique, which led to a close relationship.

Police were called after the dead woman’s mother hadn't heard from her daughter in a couple of days. Police were able to get inside the locked apartment through a fire escape window.

Bryan said Harding took medication to fight psychiatric problems he suffered.

Police sources said there were puncture wounds to their bodies.
