Disgusted with the system: 11 Year Old Slays His Dad's Gal - Pregnant Victim Shot

As we Americans observe the world's battles we notice that children are in the thick of it.

They are soldiers; they are killers.

Some of us wonder how children can be involved in such things.

Are they forced into service?

Do they volunteer?

Either way, we are often alarmed that such seemingly naive, delicate individuals could be a part of such heinous acts.

We look at our own children and think there is no way they could ever participate in such activities.

We cannot imagine that our nieces, nephews, and grandchildren could possibly be so brutal. And then we turn on the news...

What is going on?

Yet another child is being charged with murder just as the case involving a 8-year-old killer ends.

This time, the boy is 11-year-old Jordan Brown of Wampum, Pennsylvania.

It was reported that on Friday before the fifth grader boarded the bus to go to school, he allegedly shot and killed his father's fiancee.

Jordan was taken into custody after police discovered the body of 26-year-old Kenzie Marie Houk. She had been fatally shot in the back of the head with a 20-gauge shotgun while she lay in bed. She was eight months pregnant. The unborn child died within minutes, according to the report, due to a lack of oxygen.

It was said that there were problems with Jordan and that he had told another boy that he wanted to kill Kenzie. Jealousy was suspected.

Apparently, Kenzie's 4-year-old daughter told some people who were cutting trees on the property that her mommy was dead. They alerted the police.

It was reported that Jordan led police on a wild goose chase by telling them that there had been a black truck on the property when he left for school. But police officials began noticing inconsistencies in Jordan's story so they reinterviewed Kenzie's 7-year-old daughter.

The 7-year-old daughter told police officers that she saw Jordan with what she thought was a gun and heard a loud bang. Officers found the shotgun in what they believed to be Jordan's bedroom.

Jordan was charged on Saturday, as an adult, for Kenzie's murder. On Monday, defense attorney Dennis Elisco intends to ask that the boy be released on bail and that the case be referred to juvenile court.

It was reported that Jordan's father was "in a state of actual shock and disbelief." He reportedly was not aware that Jordan had a problem with Kenzie.

The gun that Jordan allegedly used was a youth model that belonged to him. He and his father used to go hunting together.

Jordan's preliminary hearing is set for Thursday. In the meantime, he is being held in Lawrence County Jail.

My Two Cents-

I've said it once.. I've said it twice.. I've said it 100 times.. what is going on with our children? Does anyone care? This is an ELEVEN YEAR OLD in this story- the story referenced in the above article was A CHILD OF EIGHT YEARS OLD that allegedly killed his father and his fathers friend?

WHAT HAVE WE DONE AS A SOCIETY TO OUR CHILDREN?
