Youth suicide rate no fluke, CMU researcher says

A higher-than-expected rate of youth suicides might be part of an emerging, nationwide health crisis, according to research co-authored by a Carnegie Mellon University professor released today.

The rate of youth suicides declined for more than a decade before spiking in 2004, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Although the rate dropped slightly from 2004 to 2005, the most recent years for which statistics are available, it was much higher than trends suggest it should have been, according to the research published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

"For 15 years you see something going down, and then all of a sudden you see a jump, and that jump stays up, that jump is a concern," said Joel B. Greenhouse, the Carnegie Mellon statistician who co-authored the study.

I would love to know the FACTS ...

How many of these children were from a one parent home?

Could it be that because of Non Custodial Parent's are being FORCED out of these children's lives by the laws in place so that the States benefit from the federal funding given ONLY if a Non Custodial Parent spends LESS THAN x amount of time with their child?

SICK isn't it?

How many of these children were from foster homes, where they were told that their natural parents are drug addicts or unfit or didn't want the child or any of the other lies these children hear from the liars.. Opps sorry I mean from those in the system that are kidnapping the children... Oopppss again forgive me... I mean "protecting" the children..

Due to ... once again the States can benefit from the federal funding given to the States for each child they "protect" the longer they keep the kidnapped .. Ohhh I mean the "abused" children the longer they get paid!

See earlier posts from a disgruntled ((with good cause)) Adoption agency complaining about his agency not getting the children to adopt or the funding because the "child protective machine-
I mean "child protective services" were abusing their discretion and keeping the children and the money on THEIR level.. not adopting these children out for years..

Sick thought huh?

Alternatively could it be the psychotropic drugs our children are being forced on -- because all of a sudden children as young as 2 are being diagnosed as Bi Polar or whatever else would bring these big pharma Co's billions of dollars on the backs of children.. some of who are on NUMEROUS psychotropic drugs at a time?

OUTRAGEOUS huh?

Once again .. follow the money... DUH!

You are NOT immune.. you and yours may be next-- this and all the other issues not yet affecting you that ... you've been ignoring are YOUR problem!!

Or if your part of the politically protected group... don't you wonder if you and yours will end up alone without backup or protection when one of these kids decides they want to become homicidal instead of suicidal.. and happens to open fire with a shotgun right in YOUR PATH?
