Frenchman lured to U.S. by sex-with-kids ad gets 7 years

PHOENIX - Federal prosecutors say a French citizen who traveled to the U.S. in response to an ad offering child sex tourism in Mexico has been sentenced to seven years in a federal prison.

David Raymond Saksik of Aubervilliers, France, pleaded guilty last year to traveling across state lines with the intent to have sex with minors.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Phoenix announced the sentence Wednesday. When he's released from prison, the 32-year-old Saksik will be on lifetime probation.

Saksik was visiting family in Canada when he came to Arizona in January 2006 in response to the sex tourism ad. Saksik paid $500 for two days of sex with underage boys in Mexico, but it turned out he was speaking with federal agents, who arrested him.
